I Am A Super Mario - Believe It Or Not

Have you ever played the arcade game called SUPER MARIO when you were just a kid? I guess most of us are familiar with that computer game. What if I told you that the same computer game have changed my life? I am now Super Mario, believe it or not.


When I was a kid, I used to play that SUPER MARIO game. Mind you, if you haven’t try that, the game is so addicting not only to the kids but even to the adults. I used to escape from my parents not doing the house hold chores just to play the game. Now that I am old, I never thought that the same computer game will impact a change on my life: the way I see things, the way I think, the way I response to life’s challenges. Just very recently, I realized that life is pretty simple if you will just adapt the principle of Super Mario game. 

The SUPER MARIO as a game is composed of Super Mario character, obstacles and enemies, opportunities, rewards and sceneries. You allow Super Mario to move freely in different sceneries and collect all the rewards by pressing the left, right, up, down button on your keyboard with one goal in mind: to collect as much as possible all bonuses and rewards. Allow him to walk and run, jump and crawl if necessary and face the challenges and opportunities. You just collect the rewards and bonuses as you move as many as you can and presto you win. Once you have completed the current level, you will have a chance to play the next level of the game, so forth and so on. In every level, the challenges become great and the obstacles become more difficult, however, the rewards and bonuses also become bigger and bigger.

In realities, our life is just like Super Mario. We are always presented by so many challenges and opportunities. There are also some obstacles and smooth or hilly road leading to victory. It’s all up to us whether we will act on it or prefer to sleep. 

There’s a saying that says opportunity knocks only once. Hence, it is very critical that you learn to grab every opportunity and to act on the right opportunities at the right time whenever it appears your way. Failing to do so means you lost the game. 

Life is full of challenges. It might not be an easy road for you. There might be some obstacles. But if you want to be successful then, beat the obstacles, accept life challenges. Walk on the road that leads to success. No matter how difficult the level of the game is, collect all the rewards. They are everywhere left and right. All you have to do is collect it. Just don’t be sleepy or lazy and you’ll be promoted. If you can’t beat the obstacles, you may try the alternative route and still win the game. Each one of us is a Super Mario playing the game of success. Success is a result when opportunity meets our action.
